You will find many restaurants and the boutiques and shops are always open on Sundays. You can relax at the seaside or cycling on the many tens of kilometers of cycling trails in Knokke-Heist. Our Bed & Breakfast Aquavit is an ideal starting point for many cycling trips.
Each season has its own appeal; sunbathe on the beach or have a drink on a terrace in summer, have some very fresh air during a beach walk in the fall, make a polder walk during an ice cold winter day or see the blossoms bloom in spring.
Bicycles
Knokke-Heist and surroundings are very well-suited for cycling. Knokke-Heist has 80 kilometers of cycling trails! On the website of the municipality of Knokke-Heist you will find an overview of some cycle routes. We have bikes you can use free of charge.

Knokke-Heist houses almost 60 art galleries! Are you an art lover, collector or do you want to spend some time in these art galleries? You can discover them as you walk along the beautiful shopping streets in Knokke.
Zwin region
The Zwin region is a cross-border region with fascinating history and numerous tourist and cultural-historical spots in a beautiful nature. You will discover the polders, the beach, the dunes, creeks and marshes. You discover the region car, by bike or on foot.
There are beautiful walks and bike rides. We will be happy to advise you while your staying in our bed and breakfast. We tell you where to find the nice places, a cozy restaurant or terrace or where to go walking or cycling.
Nature
The Zwin is a unique nature reserve that you can discover on foot. In the adjacent "Zwinbosjes" you can go cycling and hiking throughout the year. The Zwin attracts hundreds of thousands of local and migratory birds and has a unique fauna and flora. The storks are literally flying around like leaves in autumn. The Zwin is easily reached by bicycle or walking from our B&B. Do not forget to bring your bikes. If you do not want to bring your own bicycles, we can provide you with free bicycles.
The region
Besides Knokke-Heist you can also visit tourist towns like Damme and Sluis. Damme offers you nice restaurants and tea rooms as well as beautiful landscapes along the Damme Canal. Damme is perfect for a bike ride from our B & B Aquavit. Along the beautiful polder roads you ride your bike to Sluis (or you take the car). Sluis is a nice shopping town with many restaurants and tea-rooms. All stores in Sluis are also open on Sundays, as in Knokke. Brugge is only 18 km from Knokke-Heist and our B&B Aquavit. You reach the center of this historic city in 20 minutes by car. Trains can also be leave for Bruges every hour and the train station in Bruges is within walking distance of the town center. You can even ride your bike to Bruges, it ill take you there in about an hour. We'll be happy to advise you on the best route.
